Presented by: Rev. Patricia Trudeau, MSW, MEd., MDiv, Contract Minister at Neighbourhood Dr. Wilburn Hayden, MSW, PhD, Professor Emeritus and Senior Scholar, York University You are invited to join Rev Trudeau and Dr Hayden for this important presentation. These two sessions consist of conversations on racism in Canada; you may attend one or both. The need for such conversations comes out of the 2021 CUC (Canadian Unitarian Council) survey results which showed a disconnect between the perceptions of White UUs and the lived experiences of Black, Indigenous, and racialized UU congregants. Participants will be able to engage in a discussion of interpersonal and systemic racism in Canada. Our goal is to foster deeper understandings necessary for moving towards dismantling effects of White supremacy and colonialism. All are welcome
