January's theme: Power and Discomfort Message: Radical Hospitality Speaker: Rev Pat Trudeau Music: Spirit Choir Time for All Ages: In the words of Rev. Renee Ruchotzke, "To be radically hospitable is to have a congregational norm that is radically inclusive, not out of duty, but out of our anticipation of how each new person will change us". This Service will examine and celebrate the ways we welcome and accept one another with all of our unique differences.
2024 Annual Budget Meeting Registration at 12:00 noon / meeting starts at 12:30 pm. Voting (only Members can vote) will be in-person or by proxy only. The meeting will be shared on Zoom but there will be no voting via Zoom. Send completed proxy forms to: secretary@nuuc.ca

Toronto East End Climate Collective meets in-person at Neighbourhood on the first Thursday of each month at 7:00p.m., and online all other Thursdays. TEECC is a climate advocacy, education and discussion group. We help plan and attend climate actions and work on speaker series. All are welcome – snacks provided! February's theme: Beloved Community Message: Power and Patience in the Beloved Community Speaker: Melina Bondy Music: Susanne Maziarz and Tony Rapoport Time for All Ages: Julia Thompson Thich Nhat Hanh and Dr Martin Luther King were not only heroes to many, but they were also friends who shaped each other and by extension, their communities. This service will look at their friendship and open into a reflection for us all on how to the powerful ways we can be changed by friendships, and the patience needed to connect across difference.
This will be a kick-off event at NUUC for Black History Month.
