GLOBE Walk begins with a sunrise ceremony with Indigenous Elders at Bluffers Park at 6:00 am, and ends at Humber Bay with a sunset ceremony. The Withrow Park station (10:30 to 12:00) has lots of activities for kids. From 12:00 to 1:00 Susanne will be leading the walk with song to Church of the Redeemer, where Sanne will be performing with Red Rebels. The walk is also gathering signatures on a petition to the Ontario government supporting renewable energy; that petition will be available Sunday April 12 and 19 to sign in Cappuccino Room.
Step into our monthly dance, facilitated by the Toronto Sacred Circle Dancers. No experience necessary! We will teach you each dance, using simple, repetitive steps, danced together in one circle of shared energy. Go barefoot or bring a clean pair of non-street shoes to dance in. The Elm Dance is a circle dance popularized by Joanna Macy and practiced by lovers of life around the world. We will hear the story behind the dance, a remembrance of the losses produced by the Chernobyl nuclear disaster.
