2025 10 26 Natalie Zend “Getting Unstuck: Listening to the Wisdom of the Body”

Sometimes life seems to hold its breath. Our efforts feel suspended between what is and what wants to be, and what we’re trying to create is just not moving forward. Congregant Natalie Zend guides us through a child-friendly version of the “20-Minute Dance,” followed by the “Stuck.” These are two embodied mindfulness techniques from Social Presencing Theatre that invite us to listen to the wisdom within our own bodies. Together, we explore how feeling deeply into the current situation—rather than trying to fix it—can open up new insights and guide us toward the personal or collective future that wants to emerge. Natalie Zend is a member of Neighbourhood and a facilitator interested in practices that bridge inner awareness and social change. She has studied Theory U with Otto Scharmer at the Presencing Institute, MIT, and Social Presencing Theatre with his colleague Arawana Hayashi, exploring how presence and movement can help us bring forth positive change in our lives and in our world.
