Conversations on Racism in Canada – May 19 and June 16 (1-2:30pm)

    Featured June 16, 2024 @ 12:30 pm - 2:00 pm

You are invited to join Rev Trudeau and Dr Hayden for this important presentation. These two sessions consist of conversations on racism in Canada; you may attend one or both. The need for such conversations comes out of the 2021 CUC (Canadian Unitarian Council) survey results which showed a disconnect between the perceptions of White UUs and the lived experiences of Black, Indigenous, and racialized UU congregants. Participants will be able to engage in a discussion of interpersonal and systemic racism in Canada. Our goal is to foster deeper understandings necessary for moving towards dismantling effects of White supremacy and colonialism. All are welcome.
