These two sessions consist of conversations on racism in Canada; you may attend one or both. The need for such conversations comes out of the 2021 CUC (Canadian Unitarian Council) survey results which showed a disconnect between the perceptions of White UUs and the lived experiences of Black, Indigenous, and racialized UU congregants. Participants will be able to engage in a discussion of interpersonal and systemic racism in Canada. Our goal is to foster deeper understandings necessary for moving towards dismantling effects of White supremacy and colonialism. All are welcome
