Our Lay Chaplains, licensed by the province of Ontario, can help you create meaningful, heartwarming, and memorable celebrations respecting your beliefs, personal choices, and traditions. Our services are available to everyone; you do not need to be a member of our congregation. At the Neighbourhood Unitarian Universalist Congregation, you and your family can find solace in knowing that we are available to provide spiritual and religious ceremonies to mark important Rites of Passage. Ceremonies offered by the Lay Chaplains include: Note: Wedding ceremonies officiated in Ontario, regardless of gender pairing, are legally official. Creating a Ceremony A Lay Chaplain will work closely with you to create a service that is tailored to your wants and needs, drawing from all traditions. You will be able to openly discuss details such as: timing, involvement of others, and choices for readings, meditations or prayers. The ceremony can be as spiritual, traditional or contemporary as you wish. Where to Have Your Rite of Passage If you wish to use our space, the Neighbourhood Congregation has a beautiful sanctuary that can accommodate up to 200 people.
